    About M4V and M4R

    M4V: M4V is Apple's MP4 variant used for iTunes movies and TV shows. Unprotected M4V files are identical to MP4.

    M4R: M4R is the iPhone ringtone format. It is an AAC audio file (the same as M4A) with a different extension, and iOS only accepts ringtones up to 30–40 seconds long.
