    About AMR and M4R

    AMR: AMR is a speech codec made for mobile phones. Older Android and Nokia phones, call recorders and voice-memo apps save recordings as .amr files, which many computers cannot open.

    M4R: M4R is the iPhone ringtone format. It is an AAC audio file (the same as M4A) with a different extension, and iOS only accepts ringtones up to 30–40 seconds long.
