    About APE and M4R

    APE: APE (Monkey's Audio) is a lossless format with very high compression, often used for CD rips shared online.

    M4R: M4R is the iPhone ringtone format. It is an AAC audio file (the same as M4A) with a different extension, and iOS only accepts ringtones up to 30–40 seconds long.
