    Which mode should I use?

Editable text is best for letters, reports, contracts and CVs: you get paragraphs and headings you can type into. Multi-column layouts and complex tables may need some tidying. Exact look is best for brochures, certificates and scanned PDFs: every page is reproduced pixel-perfect as a full-page picture, which you can annotate around but not retype.

    Frequently asked questions

    Can it convert scanned PDFs?
Scanned pages have no text layer, so they're converted in Exact look mode automatically. Text recognition (OCR) is coming later.
    Is my document private?
Yes. The PDF is processed in your browser and is never uploaded, so it's safe for contracts, bank statements and IDs.
