How to use the Mono to Stereo

    1. 1

Choose mono audio (or a video).

    2. 2

Keep 'Same as input' or pick another format.

    3. 3

Press Convert to get a stereo file.

    What this does (and doesn't)

The mono signal is copied to both the left and right channels. The result sounds centred in both ears, which fixes recordings that only play in one ear. It does not invent a true stereo image from a mono source; no tool can do that.

    Frequently asked questions

My recording only plays in the left ear — will this fix it?
Yes, if the file is mono or 'dual mono'. Converting to stereo puts the sound in both ears.
    Does it reduce quality?
Choose WAV or FLAC for zero loss. MP3 and M4A are re-encoded at the bitrate you choose.
