Frequently asked questions
Will I lose anything?
Sounds panned hard left or right are blended into the centre, which is exactly what mono means. For voice recordings there is no audible difference.
How much smaller is mono?
Uncompressed formats (WAV) are exactly half the size. For MP3 and M4A, you can use a lower bitrate for the same quality.
