How to use the Audio Cutter

    Choose an audio or video file.

    Drag across the waveform (or type start and end times) to select a part.

    Pick Keep selection or Remove selection, plus optional fades.

    Choose the output format and press Cut audio.

Keep or remove

Keep selection saves only the highlighted part, which is ideal for clips and samples. Remove selection deletes the highlighted part and joins what is left. Use it to cut out a cough, an ad or a mistake from the middle of a recording.

Is cutting lossless?
With output set to 'Same as input', Smart quality and no fades, the audio is cut without re-encoding, so there is no quality loss. Fades and format changes need a re-encode.
Can I cut WhatsApp voice notes?
Yes. WhatsApp voice notes are OPUS/OGG files. Select one and export as MP3 or keep OPUS.
How precise is the cut?
To one tenth of a second. Use the ±0.1 buttons or arrow keys on the handles for fine control.
